They are everywhere, on seed racks even. Usually they use different names
to avoid the "bad" name "somniferum." So you will see "Peony-flowerd
poppy," "hen and chicks poppy" (a form with tiny extra pods around the
base of the central one), "danish flag" (a neat one with cut-edge petals
and a white cross in the middle). The one they call P. laciniatum is, I
think, a finely-cut variety of P. somniferum as well. Chiltern seeds also
has some very nice ones (single deep purples and lavenders, which are my
personal favorites). Their address is:

There is no problem whatsoever ordering seed from England, just use a
