A little bit. I've got a seedling B. integrifolia which I kept in a
pot 2 years and which I set out last spring. It's now about 1m tall.
It had no problem with the last great freeze - the lowest temperature
at my location this year was about 26 F. Sunset Western Garden Enc.
recommends avoiding any phosphorus fertilizer thus I've treated my Banksia
to small (very small) amounts of ammonium nitrate and potassium sulfate
and nothing else. It's situated on the edge of a steep embankment at the
property boundary and thus has perfect drainage.
