For thirty years I have recorded the first blossoms on the acaias that grow wild in Santa Cruz County. The earliest was late November, the latest late February. Just as Dave Poole experienced, yesterday I drove along roads where they are just coming into bloom. Question: do these rather different bloom periods indicate anything other than weather changes?
