I think my vote for the most pestiferous weed in my garden must go to
Great Bindweed (Calystegia sylvatica). This Convolvulus relative got
into my garden about 40 years ago with a load of cheap topsoil (not
really "cheap" after all!!) and has steadily spread through the borders
and even tried to get into my raised vegetable beds.

I used to try controlling it with weedkiller, but in spite of all
precautions I ended up nearly killing several very nice roses, so now I
just pull out what I can every time it appears.
