off topic: Yucatan botanicals

I've enjoyed lurking on the list for quite awhile,
and gotten lots of good ideas for my garden.

Here's an off-topic question: Can anyone recommend
botanical gardens in the Yucatan? The route will
probably be a loop from Cancun to Merida, possible
side trip to Palenque, then from Escarcega to Chetumal
and back up the coast to Cancun. The purpose of the
trip is to see ruins, but all three adults are avid gardeners.

Any suggestions are welcome.
