I too enjoy the list very much.
For a brief off topic: Has anyone gone to the Edith Wharton garden in the
south of france [not sure of city name or even if it is preserved or not] It
is mediterranian tho, so I am not too far off topic.
I think she was there 100 years ago or so [maybe up until the 30s she was
there] and of course her neice Beatrice Ferrand [who did Dunbarton Oaks in
DC] visited and was influenced by her gardens.
I wonder if anyone knows the wheres and hows of visiting it. thanks
