Thanks for reminding me of this method. I used it years ago with a
rather fierce weedkiller called Dicamba (or Woody Weedkiller), but had
not thought of trying it with Roundup, I haven't had much suceess with
glyphosate painted on the leaves (I don't dare to spray), but this
should have more chance of getting into the roots. I dig out  what I
can, but some rhizomes diasappear under clumps of perennials which I am
loath to disturb and this might just do the job for them. Let's hope
however it doesnt leak out into the soil. I will try just one first and
see what happens, I think.
