I am sorry I haven't replied before, as always I am busy and I thought
someone else might write.
I think if they are resprouting you could lose the new growth of you
attempt to dry them off at this point, so perhaps you will just have to
let them grow. In your climate you might do better to actually lift them
in Autumn and store the dry bulbs for the winter. They will last
several months in this way and will eventually show they are ready to
be planted by beginning to sprout even in the dry.
