Re: newspaper mulch + Aquapore
Is Aquapore the porous hose that weeps water all along its length? I've used
such a hose for many years and am happy with it. I can put it nearer the
water-thirsty plants and avoid the dry lovers. It seems to hold up quite well
under mulch - haven't had to replace the first one I laid about five years ago.
Will have to replace the one I pruned, mistaking it for a blackberry, but that
will be easy - no digging out or disturbing plants, you just lift up the hose.
The main problem is getting the water distributed evenly along the length - if
you're on a slope you might have to lay more or less hose at the top or bottom
to even things out.
