an easy solution Nan is to bulk add the
botanical terms to your current spell checker dictionary
find a web site or document that has loads
of botanical terms, plant names etc
format the page so each word is on a
separate line, no spaces before or after
(this is pretty easy to do actually, using global
finds and replace to remove all the paragraph,
line shifts etc so each word is separated by a
carriage space, then a global replace for carriage space to
paragraph and you'll end up with a long list of words.)
Save that list as a text file and in word either set
it as a custom dictionary or open an existing custom dictionary
and paste the list in. Open up your existing custom
dictionary and have a look at the format.
Below is a small selection from my custom dictionary
if you have the show/hide (backwards p) button set
to 'show' then you'll see each line is deliniated by
the paragraph symbol, backwards P
(or ¶ this may not appear on your email correctly)
AQIS
ARRPA.
Annexure
Benth
CSIRO
Centre
Datura
Enviroweeds
Hayne
IBRA
Kirstenbosch
Leguminosae
There are heaps of sites with lists of terms or glossary lists
and they are pretty easy to format up for insertion into a dictionary.
Have fun, Rod
