Thanks, I did notice some small droplets on the leaves (I noticed that as
they unfurl a watery substant forms at the tips of the rolled leaves).
Anyway, I also found out the source of the ants. Seems they had come in
through cracks in the walls near the base board, and made a nest in the
pot with my Chamaedorea seifrizii. I flooded the pot in the bathtub to
drive them out, and washed them down the drain.
