Of plants and politics
Barry, I think our country did once break out in a war over it....
Glenn, I am still mulling over the political dilemma of welcoming hardy
exotics into our midst vs the urge to nuke them as invaders...I would think
that was hortocide, too.
And on a more personal note, I am always battling with my summertime Cretan
neighbors over what I plant in my postage size garden....medit-plants have
greedy roots which tend to burrow into walls and foundations. Several of my
Cretan neighbors have begun feuding due to plants. One dared to pick a wild
pomegranite from the other's side of the walkway, and another uprooted a
sapling planted on the property line.
This may not be the place for such discussions, as we might set the www on
fire along with our roumneya seeds!
Wishes for the new year, Karen
