Hi Annie
A lovely plant indeed. Not too commonly seen but a feature of the fynbos
when it is. Also not common in horticulture here. I've never tried
propagating it but a reference I have ( Sima Eliovson ) says seed ( no
treatment recommendations )  or half ripe cuttings under glass. Perhaps try
semi-mature cuttings in spring with bottom heat.
I've got one in my indigenous garden which will hopefully flower for the
first time this winter. I thought your californian soils were alkaline & its
firmly stated as being an acid lover. What ph do you have ?
