I think it must like your site much more than it did mine, it is some
time since I had one but I am pretty sure mine survived no more than
three or four years. I grew mine on a steep rocky bank in full sun,
where Proteas survive well(one King Protea for so far about 45 years),
but curiously neither Leucodendrons nor Leucospermums have lasted more
than two or three years. I gave up on both the latter some years ago
and now just enjoy my Proteas along with lavenders and other less fussy
subjects.
