Judy,

If this is the seed sold for birds, I'm inclined to believe it is sterlized to
avoid sprouting.  At least none of seeds that fell below my bird feeder ever
germinated except the sorghum.  For $3 you could do a test pretty cheap.

I notice that you can buy big bags of flaxseed in grocery stores for $
2.99.  Can you plant them & have a whole bed of them, or have the seeds
