Some info and a question

First I thought I would let you know that it is possible for an 82 year old to survive a quintuple heart bypass. While it admittedly is a thoroughly miserable experience, I'm here and I feel great. The surgery was on 23 December I feel great. I had the staples removed yesterday. It was tough immediate but a great long term Christmas present for my family.

Now to my question. a friend of mine is trying to start a business involving plants. It is one of the established methods of making a living with plants. He's starting out with some information and needs information and exposure to us people of the Plant World. He has heard that there is a "botanical celebration" of some sort in San Mateo in February. It seems to him this might be a nice place to start.

First do any of you know about this meeting?

Secondly are you willing to part with suggestions for him?
