Hi all
I have an apricot tree that has been in the ground for at least 9 years. It has a lovely shape, but in all that time, has produced probably 6 fruit. I am in an intermediate climate between coastal and inland San Diego (probably sunset zone 23) and this tree sits in a cool spot in my yard. It is a Katie apricot grafted with at least a half dozen other varieties, all forgotten by now. I am ready to take it out but before I do, I am wondering whether anyone has any other suggestions. I hate to take out a mature tree.
Any suggestions?
Nan
