Re: tree dahlia?

I grew this for a while and it reached about 9 feet before frosts
zapped it. It was also growing in pure sand and didn't seem to be
particularly thirsty to get a good show of flowers. I might've been
watering it more than I remember. They are also incredibly persistent.
I pulled them up because I thought I didn't have room and the uprooted
stump kept sending up suckers. They have tuberous roots like regular
dahlias. They also strike easy from cuttings, I just put one into the
ground, kept it watered and ended up with two plants from my original
one.
