Medit??plants

	This is to wish you great success with the web page of which as you know I
hope to have a corner.
	But this mailing is about medit-plants and  (what seems to me) its rather
too cosmopolitan character, with all kinds of tropical and frost hardy
goodies creeping in under the door and mailings from lots of people who
quite certainly do not live in a Medit-climate which of course is a
temperate one with minimums of around -8C (Zone 8) a wet but sunny winter
and above all an almost completely dry summer from mid-May to the beginning
of  September. As I type (Mallorca) the sun is shining outside the window
and the temperature is around 12C for instance. 
	Perhaps you should start a mailing list called "u-never-no" for optimists
trying to do the impossible. I bet Judy Showers will shortly have a
greenhouse that she cannot get into for Strongylodons sprouting out of the
wainscoting, but all the same it doesn't make her garden a Mediterranean
one.
	I do think Meditplants should live up to its name
