well for Ceanothus heres what we did to get the seeds. Since the "Fruit
sticks to the seeds of ceanothus we first had to crush the capsule. All
we used was a bucket and a 4x4. After that we got a small tray (
preferable with sides, like a wooden frame with a bottom to it) put
some of the seeds in and used an ordinary fan. THis we used to blow the
chaff away. People were surprised it worked so well. We lost very few
of the seeds and we got rid of id say 85-90% of the chaff.
