Cal Hort PLANT SALE March 22

Thought the group would like to know about Cal Hort's annual Plant Sale. I t
will be held on SUNDAY, MARCH 22 from 10 AM to 2PM at the Lakeside Park Garden
Center in Oakland (off the Grand Ave. exit from Hwy 580, near Lake Merrit).
Members propagate plants for this sale, so you'll be able to get some choice
"Collectors" plants at bargain prices.  Most of Northern California's
nurseries support the sale by donating plants too.  Thousands of plants will
be available for you to choose from.. Cal Hort members will be available to
give advise about any of the plants for sale.

The sale is an annual event, sponsored by the California Horticulture Society
(Cal Hort), and the proceeds go to support the monthly programs offered to
members and the public.  The February program, for instance, will be a
slide/talk by Don Diillon of Four Winds Nursery, about growing citrus in
California gardens (and in containers).  It will be held on Monday, February
16 at 7:30 PM in the Academy of Sciences, in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco.
