Does anyone know of a mail order source for seeds or plants of Rosa
microphylla and/or Calliandra californica? These are both shrubs from
Baja California, the former a wild rose of normal height but with
exceedingly tiny leaves, thus resulting in a very unusual garden effect;
the latter a dwarf shrub in the bean family with attractive ferny
foliage and red powderpuff flowers.
I would prefer seeds (they are easier to transport in the mails and
seedlings tend to be easier to establish in the garden).
All suggestions are welcome!

I read said we should have dry winters and spring but, for the 11 years
that I've lived here, we've had cool, wet winters and springs just like
the Mediterranean...now, if only I could stop those summer thunderstorms
I could grow a wider variety of Mediterranean plants!)
