Hello All--A friend has a rather large jade plant in a pot. She was out
of town when the big freeze hit here in No. California, so her plant is
FRIED. All the leaves fell off. The smaller branch tips became flaccid
and spongy, shrinking within, leaving the outside "bark" loose like a
dry papery sleeve. She brought it inside to a cool but sunny spot and
cut it back some to remove obvious damage but didn't know how far to go
or what else to do. Now it's sort of shrinking back from the cuts she
made. Another friend with a large outside jade plant said they either
recover or they don't. There's not alot you can do to change the
outcome. Should she cut it way back? Let it sit and watch for signs of
recovery before fertilizing or fertilize now? Any suggestions?
Thanks! Wendy
