this is somewhat way off subject but..... i was watching Xena: the warrior princess, and i started to look at the scenery they film in. Since they film in Auckland, you get to see some nice plants from the area. I did notice in practically every shot, monterey pines. I didnt think they were THAT common around there (aside from the lumber farms). Anyways, one of the scenes theyre running through what looks like to me a large plantation of these trees....all pine and nothing else.....reminded me of the hills around Monterey during spring (since the grasses under the trees were green)...... anyways just some late night observations....
