Hmm thought i put the latin in there (i guess i should have kept it up,
sorry!).
Anyways i believe the latin for Kikuyu is Pennesetum clandestinum
(Fitting name for it!).
Its an african grass that in california goes wild and loves to take
over gardens with its woody stolons and its agressive behavior. Its not
a good grass for laying down on (ive gotten a rash from laying on it).
And its not soft on the feet either! But, in places where a low
maintenance lawn is wanted and you dont mind it popping up all over
(sometimes through Asphalt, and it will even grow in the cracks if
sidewalks, forming mats as it grows), then this grass is for you. =)
