Or maybe they are just suckers for punishment. :) At any Cactus and
Succulent Society meeting, when someone brings in a particularly foul
Stapelia (S. leendertziae, for example, which smells like rotten
shrimp), there is always a certain contingent who just *have* to smell
it. They often make an awful face, and then go back for a second go.
Morbid curiosity or something! :)
