RE: PETITIONS IN THIS FORUM

I'll be as tactful as possible ...

PLEASE refrain from bringing politics or religion or racial issues or
gender issues or Y2K or sports or anything NOT PLANT RELATED into my
gardening consciousness. PLEASE do not post (or otherwise send me)
petitions through the MEDIT-PLANT discussion group about causes that
have little to do with educating me about plants — even if the issue
involves the Mediterranean region. It's not that I don't care. I do. But
you are taking advantage of my attention to your postings. I support
freedom of speech. I just don't want my e-mail clogged up with this
stuff and I don't want to waste time reading about things IN THIS SPACE
that have nothing to do with the purpose for this space or my reason for
reading your e-mail.

I don't mind if people get personal here — we're human. Can we, however,
keep personal crusades out of this space?
