Neither is an organic pesticide (like malathion, orthene,or diazanon
that might be harmful to people or animals) - they are both IN-organic
elements (Lime-Sulpher or Copper). The oil part smothers over-wintering
insects. The Lime-sulpher or copper acts against bacteria and fungi.
They are supposed to be helpful in preventing peach leaf curl and
similar problems. Lime-sulpher (dormant oil) combinations are supposed
to bharful to apricots - otherwise, they can be used interchangably on
fruit trees.
