I personally dont use anything whatsoever on my plants. I dont even use
pesticides. However this is mainly because i really havent had problems
with pests at all. I did have a few aphids on my miscanthus, but a strong
jet of water took care of them. Most of this is because of cost also.
anyways on a slightly off tangent: My Prunus Cerassifera 'Thundercloud' is
getting ready to bloom. Its something like 3 years old and its looking
more and more like a tree. The first year it was just three main branches.
Now it gains more branches, and i expect this to be a good year for
blossoms
and also on a really off tangent:
I experimented with germinating a Mango seed. I thought it might be
difficult and i wasnt sure if it would germinate, but lo and behold, it
has a root starting. The seed itself is turning green (the seeds a tan
color). Ive heard theyre suitable for container culture. I'M going to try
it in a pot indoors to see if it will do OK.
