The entire campus at UC Santa Cruz is set in a beautiful, natural garden of
California natives. Plus, it has the best views of Monterey Bay to be had
from anywhere. The Arboretum is excellent and has an extensive collection of
plants from the world's mediterranean climate regions, especially Australia
and New Zealand, and you would probably find more interesting native plants
on a hike along one of the creeks that cross the campus than you would in any
garden. I highly recommend it.
