Thanks for the help with identifying this Morning
Glory, and if it is adapted to drought survival in
your climate in the northwest, I'm surprised that it
has not also become a pest here in California, where I
have never seen this growing. Does it also spread by
seed in your area? It did seem rather ubiquitous in
the urban areas around Seattle, and was certainly
vigorous enough in growth to be a problem where it was
unwanted. I must say though that it was beautiful in
bloom, and surprising to see blooming heavily in deep
shade. Perhaps if it doesn't spread by seed and
doesn't root as it spreads it may actually be a useful
drought tolerant vine for summer bloom in shade?
