Re: Palo verde

Thanks Gill, you've given me inspiration. Did you grow yours from seed? If so-was it easy?

Dear Annie,

This may or may not be relevant, I'm in S France, zone d'olivier (approx = US zone 8) and had a young Prosopis glandulosa which survived several nights of -10° C last winter and is growing well now, albeit in a v well drained spot.  Have some seedling Cercidium floridum that I've just planted so fingers crossed for next winter!

Has anyone grown the Palo verde Trees   like Cercidium floridum or micropyllum in USDA Zone 9.
I'm in Richmond, California . Sunset Zone 17. Internet sites say some are hardy to zone 8. I've never seen them around here , has anyone?        Annie
