Hi everybody!
My name is Juan García and I am new on the list.
I live in Menorca (Balearic Islands) and I am agricultural engineer
specialized in gardening. I work as a garden designer for an important
Garden Center on the island.
In my daily routine I use many mediterranean plants. In our projects
this is one of the main goals trying to avoid the more we can other not
well adapted plants coming from other climates.
Actually, we are also a nursery producing every year thousands of
mediterranean plants that we use in our gardens.
Menorca is a very flat island with a windy and rainy winter and a hot
and dry summer. This makes not easy the choice of plants mainly in
the northern part of the island where the wind is really strong in
winter.
So, gardening in Menorca sometimes is a real challenge!
