Re: a visitor from Oz

Hello Sean
Say hello to Beverly from me. I have returned to the fold - having a rest from the Suite101 and HOPING to get a few pages [well, literally hundreds] thrown into my bottom drawer into order and maybe a book form. If you see Beverly again, tell her there is our 10th grandchild due in November.
The two gardens [town and country] are still over crowded with beautiful trees and flowers and have both aged gracefully like yours truly! We are moving into Spring, with many plants in bloom early. The changes in our weather pattern is giving us garden scenes we have never seen before - Camellias and Rhododendrons saying "Good Morning" to Winter bloomers Chimonanthus praecox and Luculia gratissima [magnificent this year] Tasmania's weather may end up Medit yet!!!
Regards to all, Gay

Since the topic of Australia has come up, I thought I'd relay that I've just had a nice lunch with Beverly Elischer, one of our members from Perth. She is visiting her son's family here in the SF Bay Area of California. We had a nice chat about all manner of things, and unfortunately I had to get back to the office. She is enjoying her brief stay here (her flight leaves tomorrow evening) but hasn't had much chance to see many gardens, etc., spending most of her time with her 2 grandchildren, both under 2yrs of age! It is always a pleasure to put a face with a name, Beverly being well-known for some years here in the medit-plants forum.

Regards,
Seán O.
