I have a small problem whose answer may be of interest to others in the group.
I have a 6 foot fence at the back of my lot.
That neighbor has a hedge about ten feet high (just getting into the PG&E wires).
My neighbor doesn't have the good sense to like me.
His hedge of course lops over into my yard.
If I trim it at the lot line, it will grow over again immediately. And also I don't want a flat trimmed hedge look!
So I want to use what I consider to be good arboreal practice and find the main branches and trim them back at least a foot on the other side of the line. This will keep them out of my yard for a month or two and give my plants the light they are entitled to. And the bushes will look natural and not trimmed!
Is there any reason to believe this is illegal? ---Chas---
