RE: Flavorful fruit

Hi Ben,

In California, the commonly available pomegranate is called Wonderful and it is but there are other interesting varieties.  Info on multiple varieties of P.G./Feijoa is listed at http://www.crfg.org/pubs/ff/feijoa.html.

A wonderful grower of fruit trees is www.davewilson.comYour local nursery can order anything from them.  Their website offers lots of advice on growing, pruning and more.

If you get really into fruit trees, check out the California Rare Fruit Growers.  Many chapters throughout the state.  http://www.crfg.org.  The website is a font of information as well.

Subject: Flavorful fruit

Hi All,
I'm thinking of planting a couple of Pineapple Guavas (Feijoa sellowiana, syn. Acca sellowiana) and a Pomegranate, for fruit as well as for looks.  Can anyone recommend varieties of either that bear especially tasty fruit?
