frost

A local nursery person is trying to sell me a spray on product called "envy" which they claim protects plants against frost. You spray it on once every six weeks during the frost season and frost sensitive plants manage to struggle through another year - or so the claim is. I have lost many plants labelled "frost sensitive when young", mine certainly fail to get old, so I am very tempted. Does anyone have any experience of this stuff? I have been trying to find out about it but my computer keeps directing me to some very dubious sites so I have no knowledge of its composition.
