Green flowers

 Some more green flower suggestions:-

Galtonia viridiflora
Galtonia regalis

Both of these are the lovely S.African 'Summer Hyacinths' with pale green
pendent flowers on 2ft spikes.

Lavandula viridis - a lovely apple-scented lavender, fairly hardy if
planted out when small.

Kniphofia 'Green Jade' (various Kniphofia species also have green forms)

Eryngium bromeliifolium
E. horridum
E. agavifolium
E. serra

Various Eryngiums have greenish flowerheads - the above are all from the
'bromeliad-leaved' group from Central and South America. Quite a few of
them seem to be fairly hardy here in SW England. Some of the European
species such as E. campestre, the Field Eryngo, also have green flowers.

Virtually all Euphorbia species - E. seguieriana is looking lovely at the
moment.

Buplereum rotundifolium - this and other Buplereum species are attractive
members of the Umbelliferae (carrot family) with yellowish florets
surrounded by green bracts.

Grasses - most grasses have green or greenish flowerheads. My favourite at
the moment is Stipa tenuissima (Esparto Grass) which is incredibly wispy
and delicate, but surprisingly tough.

Digitalis viridiflora - I am told this is now included under D. lutea,
which it certainly resembles. Anyway, it's a perennial foxglove with many
small green flowers - very dainty, especially in a group in a dark corner.

Hope this helps,

Tristan
