Olive trees

I was thinking about the recent discussion of olive trees, as a co-worker
recently said she is moving into a new house that has an olive tree in the
yard (I passed along some of the information about controlling the mess -
thank you!)
It occurred to me that I have heard of sprays for fruitbearing trees that
will keep the fruit from forming; would something like this work for an olive
tree - for a person who loves the shape and form of a tree and doesn't want
to remove it, but doesn't have the time or skill to use the fruit or deal
with the problems?
If anyone has any information about this, I will pass it along.
Thanks, Patricia Ryan
