I haven't grown lemon grass, nor read anything about its cultural needs.
But, I have spent a lot of time in Southeast Asia where it is hot, humid,
and rainy. Since lemon grass is a herb that figures so importantly in
Vietnamese and Thai cooking, it must thrive in those areas. I've also had
it in Mexico...but have no idea in what climate area it grows there.
My thinking is that this is a herb that requires just the opposite of what
we have in most Mediterranean and temperate climates.
