I am taken by the virtual Gary's garden idea. I would nominate Verbena
bonariensis, since I bought it from Gary's nursery some years ago and it has
become a welcome weed here, one that the butterflies love and that I have
passed along to many friends.
Thank you all for your compassion. I hate the thought of Redding being
famous for evil rather than for beautiful gardens. The challenge now for me
is to not hate these men who have caused such waste and grief.
