They grow very well up here in Kula, Maui. Even with the annual summer
drought. I was told by the owner of the Kula Botanical Garden that the
green/chartruce var drops seeds that germinate freely everywhere in the
garden. I recall that the seeds take a while to germinate (6 months or
so...).
