(Sounds more like a band name than a plant [group] name, doncha think?
Vaguely Maverick-ish, perhaps, but with more of a bluegrass-psycho
howl??)
Delighted to hear that there are individuals already trying these,
though less delighted to hear of them (plants not individuals, I
hasten to add) pushing up daisies at 28F - which would be unlikely to
make that particular species a goer in the ground outdoors in my own
climate. Still, I'd be fascinated to learn how the brave adventurers
who're trying them get on - and if anyone ever learns of a source of
get-at-able seed, please remember to let a poor benighted Brit know of
it.
(Incidentally and surprisingly, at least to me, I discovered, looking
up Lancaster & de Noailles MEDITERRANEAN GARDENING for something
completely different, that they, too, back in the 70s, were
recommending a couple of such things for ACTUAL Medit. gardens. Wonder
if anyone ever took their advice....and if so, how they got on...)
