Re: rooting lavender

Anyone with access to a California Closet store can find a ready source of 
those wonderful clear plastic "sweather boxes with clear lids. These, filled 
with 2-1/2" of jiffy/sunshine mix, dampened slightly, and put 1" below 
fluorescent lights on 16-18 hr days, make wonderful rooting boxes with no 
work needed for weeks. About 98% success with anything stuck in them. I use 
rooting powder just because it's there and probably seems to speed up 
rooting. I find otherwise, a lot of callusing but little rooting in a month.
