Extensive areas of upland leeward Maui and Hawai'i
have a rather mediterranean climate: long dry summers
and cool wet winters. Even lower altitude leeward
areas might qualify on Kauai/Oahu/Moloka'i, except
perhaps for winters that don't go below 55F.
If you do try it find a spot with good
