curling oleander leaves

From time I get curl on just one stem, normally in winter with
the plants [all standards]under glass.Eventually the offending leaves crisp up
and fall off. I have no idea of the cause, but I never use sprays of any kind.
The Italian growers from whom the plants originally came dismiss the
curling as of no consequence but offer no cause.
