hello,
My first question is for those who attended the MGS garden tour last
weekend
in pasadena/san marino, california. There was a wonderful plant at Judge
Hall's
garden that I would like to identify. It had bamboo shaped leaves, was
golden yellow with dark green stripes. The most fun and surprising thing
was that
the underside of the leaves were incredibly silky to the touch. It was in
a large pot, near a wood chair, at the southwest (?) corner of the tennis
court. Does anyone remember this plant and know what it is?
I recently purchased a sinnigia leucotriha-it has soft velvety leaves,
and feels more like curtain material than plant. It usually elicits a
big smile and an
Oh-my-I-can't-believe-this reaction from visitors. So I am thinking
of starting a little
collection of fun to stroke plants. The above mystery silky bamboo like
plant would be another interesting one to have. What are people's favorite fun
to touch plants?
