Synadenium grantii 'Rubra'
I planted cuttings in a 16" pot 4 years ago and it's 8' tall with both deep
purple and green mottled with purple up to 5 to 7 inch leaves. It's more
narrow than broad in form and in cold winters like last winter,
deciduous. My potted plant gets morning sun but the one I started in the
ground last year gets full sun. There is also one at the UCLA botanical
garden in dappled shade and all seem to be doing well.
