Hi folks -
The East Bay Utility District's Water Conservation department is working to
republish their book on appropriate plants for that area. The publication
is being greatly expanded and improved, and the Mediterranean Garden
Society is one of the many parties brought in to advise.
Currently, they are looking for gardens to photograph, not only for great
examples of drought tolerant landscaping, but also for plant groupings and
individual plant portraits. If you know of a private garden, within the
EBMUD serviced area, which might satisfy this need, please let me
know. Private gardens need not be publicized on this forum (you can send
me a private e-mail) and they need not be 'named' in the publication for
privacy concerns.
It is exciting to see the new version of this book coming together, and
meeting all of the interesting local authorities who have been brought in
to help the project! Here is your chance to participate in something that
will add to our local horticulture.
