To Ann and all,
I'd check Dry Gardens Nursery in Oakland. Nice selection, and more succulents than most. I'll be glad to see other suggestions.

Medit. Folks -
Can anyone direct me to good sources for succulents in the Bay Area? I am looking for Agave ocahui, or something like it, in particular.
Thank you to everyone who contributed helpful information toward my English garden tour trip. We stayed in wonderful thatched cottages in the Somerset and Cotswold areas, found through B & B's for Garden Lovers. Visited many exquisite gardens, and only piqued my thirst to see more!
Current favorite blue-leaved shrub is Gomphostigma virgatum, and regular old Westringia 'Wynyabbie Gem', though it only whispers of blue leaved delight.
Thanks also for everyone out there - I thoroughly enjoy this wonderful exchange of information, reflection, and wit.
